Anyone have a schematic for a Majestic model 71 set?
I looked at the reference section on our site and we don't appear to list this set.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Lou
So far, it does appear that the Model 71 comes in various flavors. The unit I have does NOT include the lower table with the electrodynamic speaker - it is missing for some reason.
This however does not preclude me from running the unit with batteries or with a homemade power unit. The set I have does not have a type 80 rectifier on the chassis indicating to me that there must have been a separate power unit. The multiconductor cable going into the unit proves this.
I am still NOT sure if this unit was ORIGINALLY run by batteries or with a B power unit. I do see a B power unit in the schematics.
Oh well, half the fun is in the research!!!

I guess I suspected as much.I have hated early radio companies because of their liberal use of tar!!!! I have a Radiola power supply that I am working on that also has that wonderful stuff!!
It sounds like I should just build a new power supply from scratch, rather than trying to find and rebuild an existing supply. Well, IF ANYONE HAS A 7P6 POWER SUPPLY (WORKING)AND/OR MATCHING SPEAKER TABLE FOR A Majestic Model 71 , I would be interested. (I have to try!!).
This unit is HUGE and HEAVY, even without the matching speaker table.I guess I like the Dinosaurs!!
Thanks
Lou
:Your Majestic Model 71 was never runned off of batteries. The power supply can often be found on Ebay. I have this model in my collection and have seen the different cabinet variarions..but all are A.C. powered. The recievers in this unit are easy to restore..but the power supplies are all sealed in the lovely tar. I have never restored the power units to any pre 1930 Majestic...and anyone who has I tip my hat to you. Majestic was years behind their competition in reciever design...but used a quality electrodynamic speaker. I have restored the Majestic model 20..GOOD GOD..what a project..I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN....GEEEZZ

One thing - is there a way to condense these files for printing, since it appears that my PC does not have enough memory to do the job??
Thanks Again

Each file is just 3 pages. When you go to print can you select a specific page?

...And, as Norm said, the schematics are on this site under Grigsby Grunow. Don't look under 'Majestic Radio and Television.' That's a later company.
