RCA 143 Questions
3/19/2010 2:41:36 PMDavid R
Hello Everyone,

Over the winter, I acquired an RCA 143. I have a couple of questions about this set and a request for more information and wanted to see if anyone could help me.

According to the documentation I do have, there were 1934 and 1935 models of this set. How do I tell which set I have? I can see a faint stamp of October 18, 1934, is this a 1934 model or possible a 1935 model that was being made in late 1934 for the 1935 model year?

Also, there seems to be at least two different types of chassis, one for changing fidelity as the bands change, the other set changes sensitivity with the band selection. How do I tell which one of these chassis types I have?

Which leads me to my request, I could probably figure all of this out on my own if I had a nice set of high resolution scans of the schematic and any other information that is available for this set.
Does anyone have this information they could share with me? My email is at the top of this post.

Thanks!

I don't know if any of the parts are numbered in your set, but there seem to be some parts varied between the '34 & '35 sets, one part I noticed is the P/N's for the speakers.

Hi Edd,
Nice enlargement. Believe David can do it now. I think if he would look for the parts as in this pic, it will help.
Bill
