Automatic Radio Receiver - Model Unknown

Gentlemen:

I have a small, bakelite table radio made by Automatic Radio. I am restoring this. It has a standard tube lineup with mostly octal tubes (35Z5,12SK7, 12SA7,12SQ7) EXCEPT that the fifth tube is an audio output tube and is a miniature 50B5.I cannot seem to find this model in our listings. Anyone seen this? Also the cabinet is molded brown bakelite and the sides of the cabinet are "S" shaped or molded in an early - american scalloped fashion.

Why am I asking? Whoever did the dial cord stringing did not put one turn of cord around the driver knob shaft - they just allowed it to touch. I assume I have to let the dial cord go around the capacitor pulley (with the appropriate spring tension) and do at least one wrap around the knob driver shaft - true?

Thanks in advance - Lou

Have not seen that tube line up before, but the model 801 802 & 803 were all octal tubes. where the 801 802 & 803 B series were all 7 pin. The dial cord should have two turns around the knob shaft. The common spring tension on the tuner wheel. Much the same as any other simple set up like that.

Thanks Warren

Thats the only thing holding me up from finishing this restoration - two turns - OK.

Thanks
Lou
