I,m new to this, This site has been GREAT. Radio works as it should on AM Band, but NO SIGNAL on SHORTWAVE. I've replaced Caps and RES to no avail. Would appreciate any sugg. on how to approach. At one time I did get VERY FAINT sig. Tried add'l ANT. Thanks for any response.

Hi Andy

Could be time of day? Depending on frequency short wave can't be heard all the time.

Could be alignment?

Clean band switch contacts. Be sure you let any cleaner evaporate.

Try another 6J5, oscillator tube.

The rest of your circuits are used on broadcast & short wave. The oscillator can quit at higher shortwave frequencies.
