I have an old Air Chief model R-1661 wooden table radio. I've done some searching but cannot find a schematic. If anyone can help me aquire a schematic, I'd surely appreciate it! Also, what is the year of this radio?

Hi Mike:

I have a R-661 that I restored a few years back. It's a great radio with a large multicolored dial. The eye-tube, etc and the no-backlash tuning mechanism are great. It's quite a sensitive set. I listen to it every day/night in my office.

Hi Mike, I don't know when your Air Chief was made but my guess would be mid to late thirties. Perhaps someone can give an exact date. Don Black.
