capacitor value help

Hello I am working on a german radio from late 60's. under the rectifer tube ( ez81) there are two capacitors encased in small glass tubes . there is no schematic avail. radio is a koronette I was able to clean one off and the writing on the caps are ..
G 5000 (x) / 380v~ under that is TGL 11840 under that is 766 could someone help me figure what cap to use ? thanx ken

My guess is that the value is .005uf @350vdc

If so.. you can use a common film cap of:
.005uf @ 400vdc or 630vDC

Film caps rarely go bad, and so most likely if the originals are film caps, you can reuse them. Look closely. You can usually notice the clear rolled plastic, and then the rolled foil in the center. The new style caps aren't always clear, but the old ones usually are.
