Where can i get a germanium diode? how much? It is for a very simple tube radio

Have your tried Radio Shack. AES, tubesandmore.com , has P-Q972 for $1.00. Digi-Key, digikey.com , should have them.

I would start with Radio Shack. Other companies have min orders although they should be able to send something like this in an envelope.

There are still some standardly available germanium diodes being sold today. Ask for types 1N34A and/or 1N270.
