Does anyone know what can be used instead of a diode(crystal)?

Hi Brad

Where will the diode be used? Radio Shack has many silicon diodes that can be used as rectifiers. The price is less than $1.00. If you need a diode for a crystal set use germanium. There are also diode tubes.

Radio Shack also sells the 1N34A germaniums diodes in a pack.
