Speaker reconing

I need to recone a speaker or should I send it off? it will be my first and not on a nice radio and it is my radio.

KY,
That depends upon the type/age of speaker and the amount of damage to the cone. Here is an article on 20's speakers reconing. If you search on through the past months on this site you will find information on speaker repair. There were some discussions last month with helpful information and some repair sources.
