Fisher 90-R Germanium Detectors. Are they original?

Hello All,
I'm replacing the paper and electrolytic capacitors in a Fisher 90-R. Did it originally have germanium detector diodes or was that something someone added to "fix" this tuner.
I cannot find the schematic for this set anywhere.
