Anyone Have Building Plans For a Loop Antenna ??
12/7/2009 7:48:48 PMAndy Rolfe
I've seen these loop type antennas, diamond shaped and rectangular shaped ones also, and would like to build one for a Radiola 18. Does anyone have a set of plans or a good sketch of one. I like the upright rectangular one best of all. There is a diamond shaped one an E-bay but difficult to see how to construct it ( #260515974181 ). Any help would be much appreciated.

Andy,
I have a graphics dwg, w/dimensions, and a schematic of a loop antenna for an RCA 16T2 on my PC, if that'll help. Its not exactly building plans per se, but you could improvise. There are several sites on the web that describe such a project, so just Google loop antenna. Mine was mounted (glue/tape) to the original fiberboard/masonite rear panel, which you could cut/shape for your needs, if OK electrically. Gave Thomas D a copy years ago, but he never responded as to whether he built it.

Andy,

I have a "Red Seal" AM loop antenna from the mid 20's. I just finished re-wiring and restoring it. It is a diamond shape that basically consists of a wood cross and base. I can send you pictures of it if you want to send me your email address?
