My current project is a Belmont table top ' tombstone'?

The set has 4 tubes. It is AC/DC with airplane dial. 3 knob control and single BC. Tubes are 12Z3 - 6C6 - 6D6 - 43. Searched high and low for info on this set but without success. App age is 1933. Anyone have any ideas about the model number or schematic info. Would appreciate any help.

Sir Frank. . . . .

but . . .but . . BUT .BUT .BUT . . .by jove, . .does that finite search specifically mean that you might have exclusively excluded the Delmonte 444EX ?

A further top chassis viewing of the mechanicals, seems to also be inclusive of an aeroplano type of dial configuration.

No idea of the cabinetry involved . . . but you ARE interested in the electronics.

George. Many thanks for your interest but Edd has just done the impossible. Identified the radio.

Edd.

The radio IS the model 444 Belmont. Wonder why 230 volt opperation. And with long Wave Band too. Was this set made for export????????.

I would like to remove the Rectifier //ll resistor network and replace with a 230/115 volt transformer.Do you see any problems here and have I missed something else that needs attention

George. Many thanks for your interest but Edd has just done the impossible. Identified the radio.

That's a quirk, as that task is usually fulfilled by Sir Carl . . .and him doing that quite magnificently.

Sir Frank. . . . .

Indeed, it would certainly seem that they were utilizing the EX suffix as not being relevant to Ex-perimental . . .but instead
as EX-port.

I certainly see no problem in the utilization of the mentioned transformer.

If my situation to solve, I would be firing up the original "naked" set and having inserting an AC line ammeter in series with the raw AC power input and then upping the volume to max to perceive the max curent consumed.

Then the computation of the max wattage consumed and that info be used in selecting an adequate power rating for the transformer.

I would like to replace the 12Z3 with a Number 80 rectifier. Advice on circuit changes and adaptions would be welcome.
