:I heard the safest and best option is to flatten the dial inside of a heavy book - if the dial is off of the radio. AFter a couple of months - it should be flat. If you think it needs to be heated - proceed very carefully. Again - put it inside a book, and protect both sides of it with plain white typing paper. Put it in an oven at it's lowest temperature, like 140 Farenheit, for a few minutes, then let it cool for a half hour before you remove it from the book and check it. It might even be safer to try 120 Farenheit first. I have a Midwest 18-36 with a slight warp in it's dial - I will probably flatten it this way if I ever take it off the radio. While the dial is off the radio - it sure is a convenient time to make a computer scan of it in case you need the artwork later.
