How can you connect permanent magnet loudspeaker to ATWATER KENT model 42

Hello all. Is it possible to hook up a permanent magnet speaker to Atwater Kent model 42 by substituting the speaker choke and capacitor with a single ended output transformer .Would this effect the power supply filtering and would you have to make further modifications??How would you do this?Thanks for any info.

Hi Chris

The speaker choke and capacitor are built in the radio. If they are still there just leave them in the circuit.

Connect a moderm permanent magnet speaker with output transformer to speaker posts in your Atwater Kent Model 42. It will work. Type of output transformer isn't critical.
