Schematic for Grundig 2065
10/25/2009 11:44:35 AMRon
Hi,

I am new to this forum and looks real informative. I recently purchased a Grundig 2065, it is kind of working but sound quality left a lot to be improved. it has a hum & sounds scratchy. Volume can't be completely turn down. I am going to start restoring my very first radio, hopfully I can improve. I guess I will start by re-capping. Can anyone direct me on how to get a schematic ?

Hi Ron, welcome to the NA forum. I have sent you an email with schematics for the Grundig 2065, including a dial string diagram. Hope they help you out. This forum has been a wonderful source of information for me and I'm sure you will find it useful as well. There is certainly a wealth of talent and expertise out there. Once again, welcome and good luck with your project.

I've started working on a few Grundigs and Telefunkens.
German radios (I've learned) aren't very good for learning on.. You will need the schematic, and some patience...Germans usually overbuilt, and their radios are great stuff IMO.
If you are near Connecticut, I'd be happy to give pointers (from my previous mistakes).

This is the 1st radio I am trying to restore and I have the following symptoms:

1. a hum
2. volume control cannot completely turn volume off
3. tone controls kind of sticky and a bit inconsistence. comparing to other Grundigs I have. overall sound quality is just not as good.
4. Tunning eye very dimm
