Atwater Kent 35

I have had an Atwater Kent 35 on the shelf for a while and today, when I began to dismatle it I found that the three tuning capacitors are driven by two copper loops - both the loops are broken. Further the three sprockets that they run on were made of pot metal and are now in pieces. Is there anything I can use as a replacement for the sprockets and the copper loop?

Thank-you: Christopher

You can find the copper bands (loops) on various site that sell them like radiodaze.com and others or I would buy a junk one off of ebay or other If I am not mistaken the AK 40 is the same and they are a dime a dozen still

Have seen an inventive way using model aircraft tire rims. You can still get the copper bands, and pin them to the rims. Get rims as close to the original diameter of the broken wheels from a hobby store.

I made aluminum pulleys for my AK 35. I made the new ones slightly smaller in diameter than the old ones. That way I was able to solder the old bands together so they could be reused. All three pulleys must be the same diameter though.
