Aiwa R22 Receiver

Just discovered that my Aiwa R22 receiver will not tune up to 1700 on the AM dial. The specifications list the frequency range of this tuner to be 515-1650 kHz. Anyone know how I can shift that range to 530-1700 kHz?

Hi

Most radios have a trimmer cap on side of the tuner. If you back off this cap the high end limit will be increased. This will have an effect on alignment.

Don't think that has a convention tuner. It would be more of a voltage control PLL type. Don't think there is anything you can do about it easy. It would take a voltage ramp shift change. That would be a redesign of some IC circuit.
