:Other than in circuit ?Yes Adam, I have a very old Hickcock tube tester that will test all of the old triodes( 4 pin) and Pentodes, ect. it stops at the octal sockets. If you hunt around may be you can find someone in your area that has a old tester. Or if your in Nebraska bring your tubes over, I will test them for you, Ralph.

Hi

211A is a transmitting tube with base larger than on most tube testers. The filament is made to operate on 10 volts @ 3.25 amps.

Here are the specs.

If the filament lights and there is silver gettering on the glass most likely your tube will operate. With a lot of use there may be a brown color inside the glass.

You could check for emission between filament and grid but for proper testing need high voltage on the plate.
