does any one know where I can obtain a "filter reactor" or equivalent for radiola 62.Continuity tests show it defective.Schematic looks like a transformer, connected between 5 volt filiment section of transformer of UX-280 tube and the center tap of plates for the "80".Please help,This baby is incased in tar and a metal can.Could be a messy dissection.MIKE

Hi,
If you are not able to find a scrap donor chassis, you might try using some large filter chokes from a vintage scrap chassis, or old TV set. The only value that is present is for a 12 Henry Choke, which is large, but it also shows two other smaller chokes.

Dis-assembly can go either way. I have had some potted transformers that needed to sit on top of a hot wood stove for a while before there was any chance of extraction, and I have also had some that the tar was so brittle that it broke away from the can, and dropped out like a cake from a pan on a cooking show.
