AK Model 44 Speaker

Anyone know the "proper" speaker for an Atwater Kent
Model 44. Been told it should be an "E" Any tips or
suggestions? Thanks

Hi Bruce

Model "E", "E2" or "E3" would all be original speakers sold with the AK Model #44. They all look similar, the "E" being largest, diameter around 15". The "E2" has a diameter around 13" and the "E3" around 11". The base adds a couple more inches to the overall height. "E" and "E2" do not have a grill cloth in front, while the "E3" does. If you find an "E" or "E2" with grill cloth someone might have changed the insides of the speaker.
