I just completed restoring this unit. After a bumpy startr (I assumed it was wired ok and just replaced caps and resistors)I have it up and running except for the R X 10 scale R X 1, R X 1000,R X 10,000 and R X Meg work ok. R X 10 will zero but can not get it to adjust to full scale, it makes it about half/three quarters and halts. Also seems to drift slowly. Any body have any ideas? Suggestions (nothing anatomical)? PL

Put the meter in Rx10 mode and look at the switch contacts; trace back to the resistor used in Rx10, which has probably decreased in value.

Johnnysan, thanks for the reply. Looked at switch and there was the resistor for that range with one leg swaying in the air. Resoldered and alls well. Thank you. PL
