Orpheus Radio?
3/26/2001 10:18:40 AMBud Geuvens
Hello All,
I would like to know if anybody knows anything about a Orpheus radio? I have tried to find looking in riders but could not come up with one model under this name. Were they manufactured under a different name? I don't have a model number right now. All I know is that it is a 5 tube/batttery radio with all the tubes alined in a single row.
Thanks
Bud G

Hi Bud

You may have a radio made in 1920's which uses 5 - 01A tubes. There were many companies making radios for a year or two. Few made it into Rider. Try Atwater Kent model 20 or Stewart Warner 300 series schematics. Most were similar.

Hi Bud, Your Orpheus was manufactured by Roth-Downs Mfg. Co., 2324 University Ave., St. Paul, Minn. I can't find any schematic for it, try Norm's suggestion, it should be close. Don Black.
