Philco 38-33

I'm hoping that someone can help me please. A friend of mine bought a Philco 38-33 through e-bay USA. I downloaded the circuit only to find that it was nothing like the one that was in front of me. Inside the cabinet it had the valve (tube) line up with the label saying battery operated. This one has the following tubes.
50L6
35Z5
12Q7
12K7
12A8
There is an AC lead coming out of it and the internal wiring looks original. Were there two versions of this model ?

Sounds like what you have there is someones upgrade to an AC operated radio. That's not all that bad though, if the outside is in good shape. That tube line up is just a common 5 tube super het. Should be easy to get it working the way it is. Replace the filter caps with the same values, paper caps too. Check power supply resistors. It's like " Run What You Got " Good Luck.

Thanks Warren,
Looks like I'll have to draw the circuit as there are a few components hanging in the air. Tried to search other Philco circuits for similarity but none found.
Not a common tube line up in our Australian radios.

I just happen to do a bit of research by reading "Audels Radiomans Guide" and there in the middle was a section with radio circuits. The Emerson Model CJ-221 uses the same compliment of tubes and I wouldn't mind betting that it will be awfully close to my Philco.
Just thought I'd pass it on.
