I just made a chassis stand copied from a picture that was posted on this website.
As soon as I figure out how to post a picture I will share it with you.

Another thing that works well is an office chair. The back and seat can be removed. This leaves a platform that rotates. Useful for wotking on radios or other projects.

:One long forgot item, is a phono turntable jig. Any remember what those were? You can clamp the chassis between the two clamps. Pivot and lock in position. Cool item to have if you still find one.

:I was wondering if anyone would be interested in sharing thier favorite shop tricks, gimmics and gizmos? Things that make restoring a radio easier.

I agree that the nonsense in the last couple months has kept me away as well, observing. But then I realized there are only a few bad apples spoiling this great forum.
I am relatively new to restoring radios and your contributions have helped me in the past. It would be a loss to this forum if the events of the last little while manage to turn you into a recluse.
I have a personal motto "What have you learned today?" We can learn on our own, and use our minds to solve problems, but it is the experience of the masters that chart the course.
Don't let them win!

:Gary,
:I'm poor, use what I have, improvise as req'd and got lots of tricks up my sleeve, but far too numerous to mention here. As a 70 YO retired EE, a pretty savvy ME, and a hobbyist cabinet maker, I use my brain to solve problems. Right now I'm restoring a 117 YO reed (pump) organ, and it's more complex than most tube radios. Don't paint radios, sell on ebay or have a personal web site, so my contributions are of little value, as has been proven in the past. After the observations of the nonsense in the last couple months, I've decided to become a casual observer, with only a few rare postings.
