Ok ..here is one for all of you ..I am restoring a 1937-38 Montgomery Wards battery radio model 62-374.......It has a cap that is 6v & 1000mf... I don't have a cap that large of mfs..any suggestions? Or anyone have one I could buy from you? Just for your info...This radio is called "batteryless". It uses a 6 volt batter to run the entire thing and uses thransformers and other large caps to jack up voltages along with a vibrator....Was fresh from a barn..but restorable....hope it works when all done....

Computers will use capacitors like that. I have seem capacitors of that value in DigiKey. Try Digikey.com.

Hi

I was able to get in by holding down Esc on this computer.

The cap you are looking for is rather popular in transistor work. Might end up with 1000 mf @ 25 volts instead of 6 volts. Check with Radio Shack or other place selling components for modern circuits.
