Airline Model# 93WG-800D. Need info
2/24/2001 10:15:19 AMRandy L. Dunn
I have a two owner (counting me) Monkey Wards Airline Model 93WG-800D, 40 Band radio that was given to me by my Great Grandfather. I remember listening to the Apollo missions, Sydney Australia and Lisbon Spain amoung others, with him as recent as the 70's. I am looking for any info I can find on it; year (1939?), schematics, original price and aprox. value. I wish to get working again (all I get of late is static, good sign?) and give to my great grandson when I am 90, really hoping for the 90 part. Thanks in advance.

Hi Randy

The schematic for 93WG-800 should be here on nostalgiaair.org under Rider schematics. There are different revisions but "D" isn't listed, use A, B or C.

You are right about the year. Reversing the 93 means the radio was made in 1939.

Your radio isn't listed in Collectors Guide to Antique Radios.
