Your radio needs 90 volts for the B battery. The filaments were often supplied by an "air cell" or lead acid battery that were 2 volts. The tubes have two volt filaments. I usually build simple power supplies for these radios. Others for testing often "build" batteries from currently available dry cells.
For example 10 nine volt batteries clipped together will get you the 90 volts. The A battery could be built from D cells, two in series will give 3 volts that could be dropped by a resistor or a diode in series to give an acceptable voltage. The A battery life would be short though unless more cells were used in parallel.

Ed posted that earlier, so he might of thought you already got it. It's on this site as well. Model 45 is identical to model 43 it just has the additional tone control. Parts list on the left side of the page in this link.

:I bought this RADIO (floor Model) I bit off more than I could chew, Yeah I got an old trans going and a crosley. Even this shady lil airline... but the schematics were easily ready.... and I was armed with info, and a plug...lol/. this radio is a MARCONI # 45 and it is Battery op. wow where do I begin? do I buy a battery if so what kind???? and what about the schem? and I can build a new speaker cone but ...wiring???Im lost here.
:ALSO I have a GUILD RADIO..SPICE CHEST I can not find any info on that.
:Here is an option..instead of al the batteries you can now buy a battery eliminator that supplies all the voltages you need. The Arbe battery eliminator is sold on ebay for $150.00 bucks and if you wana run battery radios it is well worth it. I have one and love it..works perfect for all my battery radios...

:The ARBE-III is perfect battery eliminator for a radio repair bench. AES www.tubesandmore.com sells a battery eliminator kit for quite a bit less.

The ARBE sounds great but I cannot afford it and I would require several.

Unfortunately, with the limited information you have given - it would be next to impossible to determine what battery you will need. Is there anything - labels, etc. - inside the radio that will give a clue??? Many batteries for old radios are obsolete and no longer made. Many of those few you can still buy are prohibitively expensive and will eventually wear out - whether you use them or not. In the long run, a battery eliminator may be the most cost-effective option. That said, it may be possible to build up your own battery pack using modern alkaline batteries. "D" cells can often be used for filament voltage and 9-volt batteries can be hooked up in series to obtain the proper "B" voltage. If the radio is a portable - this might be the solution you are looking for - but, again, more information is needed.
try this battery Elimantor
