Hi I was hoping that someone in the group may be able to help me with something. I am looking for a diagram of tube layout for a 6M531 Rogers Majestic. This radio also known as The Victory. I have one but no ifo on it also looks like the wrong tubes in it. Any help would be greatly apperciated.

Rogers often used the same chassis in their three lines so a quick look at Mallory shows 6M531 (6R531,6D531) as having 5 tubes 6A7M,6K7M,6F6M,75M and 80. Whereas the schematic doesn't show a Victory model I believe this is the one for 6M531. Bottom of half of the page on the following link (Saturn, Orion,Meteor, Cornwall).

Might be good for comparison for tube lay out.Since Rogers had their own line of tubes and with the outbreak of WWII in 1939 some of the original tubes like 6A7M and 75M were probably substituted. Here's a chart from Just Radios for subs.

:(justradios@yahoo.com) might have a schematic for your radio but if you suspect it has the wrong tubes in it the schematic would only help if you are going to put it back to original.The reason I say that is because if some of the tubes were hard to find someone might have rewired it to accept different tubes.I have a Roger's-Majestic R-371 which is supposed to be a three tube and it has 4 tubes in it because somebody reworked it to get around finding a 89RS tube.So that is something to consider.Good Luck with it!
