:Hello again all!I have a Precision E-200 signal generator that my dad gave to me .He is a ham radio operator.I am thinking of getting my liscence to.Anyways the signal generator has the metal tubes inside.I didn't think it had tubes in it because there are no ventilation holes or louvers .You would think it would overheat!Gorgeous piece of equipment though!!COOL DIAL AND PILOT LIGHT!!I sort of know how to use it but not really.I have beat the signal againtst the hissy sounding morse code signals to get an audio tone on shortwave stations.Morse code is so cool!!Anyways I am not sure what the different controls or for ,just kind of turn the knobs and switches.Does any one know what the Unmodulated R.F. ,Modulated R.F.,External modulation,400 hz audio controls exactly do ,and there is also 2 banana jacks that say A.V.C. voltage and 2 others that say ground and high.Is this for external antenna ?Also how do you test or align the capacitors and r.f.transformers of radios etc with this device?
Chris,
If you don't have the operator's manual, you can down load it from here:
