I have a new customer that says he's got a GE J6J console radio needing help in the form of an new ballast tube BL42B.

I cannot find a schematic for any such model. Has anyone here heard of such a model?

Follow up:

Was told : .." model is J6J, and made in Bridgeport, Ct."
So I asked for the tube line up and got
6sa7, 6sk7, 6j5, 6q7, 25L6, 25z6, bL42b
From that list I found it's the same circuit as an H600, H611
So I found that schematic... Thanks guys

Hi Peter

Wrote this on ARF but also adding it here. Ballast Tube Handbook suggests HJ612:

The 1 might look like another J?

Thanks Norm:
I was trying to find some way the letters might have been mis-interpreted too... but couldn't.
Your thought seems the most logical. Thanks a ton.

Hi Peter, if you had been told 6AQ7 perhaps you would have a J63.
