ZENITH SS2341AR DIODES
2/8/2001 8:28:56 PMRobert
Good day,

I have a Zenith Model SS2341AR that was blowing the main fuse.. I found 2 shorted diodes in the power supply. The location numbers on the main board are
CR3274 and CR3272. The numbers on both diodes are
T-315-06. I have no schematic and I am not able to cross reference these diodes.. Are they rectifiers and if so what would be the NTE cross for these or what are there values.. I would appreciate help with the repair of this good old set..
Thank you in advance
Robert..

Hi,
Are the diodes connected to one side of the power transformer, or RC filter? If yes, they are rectifiers. Unless there are voltage sensitive IC's, or a need for an absolutely stable voltage reference- ie for a transmitter, those could be Zener diodes, but that would be the only complication.

NTE125, or NTE156 should be adequate replacements.
