Most tube tester sockets are wired with all pin #1's connected together. They do the same with pin #2, etc. Look for a broken pin on the socket that doesn't work.

:I have a Superior 82 tube tester that I picked up at an auction. It all seens to work as should except socket #5. The tube lights but when I test I get no reading on the meter. Yhe tube tests fine on another tester. All the other sockets work fine. If anyone has this tester I would like to know how this socket is supposed to be wired in case a wire is missing. Bob
Hi Norm:
I found that two of the fine wires that run between the tube socket termenals were broken. I did not notice this untill I started poking around. These wires on this tester are very thin. I replaced them and now the tube socket works very well. Bob
