DOES ANY HAVE ANY IDEA WWHERE I MAY HAVE WENT WRONG.

Probably you made a wiring error - it's easy to do.

Best to verify all the wiring in relation to a schematic. Use a highlighter or colored pencil to show what you've checked.

Could be a short in the B+ ckt.

One more thought. Did you replace the filter caps before or after the radio last worked? If the caps are much oversized, the added inrush can cause the rectifier to light up like the 4th of July.

Also, double check that the caps' polarity is correct.

Dave,
I see you have started to post to the forum, as I suggested. Good. We will try to help you make things right. Maybe if I can see a picture of the underside of your chassis, I can help. A digital camera with a macro setting should be able to take some good pictures. I'll add the pictures to this thread so we can all have a look.
The rectifier tube will stop working when too much current is drawn. Many times, this will protect the radio. But the tube will have to be replaced. As everyone said, please double check your connections.
Don't feel bad. We have all made such mistakes (if you made a mistake) and found the problem. Maybe you didn't make mistake and there was a problem that the leaky capacitors were masking.
