Is there a reason why my eye tube glows so dimly but tests good? I have a lot of radios like this.

Thanks

The phosphor on eye tubes degrades significantly with use / age, and just sitting at over room temperature. Some brands and date codes are worse than others.

The tester only tests the triode, has no way to know what condition the phospor is in.
