Crosley Help Needed
11/30/1998 5:45:57 PMAaron Hevener
I have a crosly model 33S with a bad audio transformer.
This transformer connects to the screen grid of the two 45's
and I need to know what the resistance in it's windings are suppost to be.
Thanks a lot for the help.

Hi Aaron

I believe you are looking for the driver transformer. Most of these windings will read 500 ohms to around 5K on an ohm meter, depending on the way it was wound. AES sells a replacement that will work. Their part number P-T156. You can reach them at tubesandmore.com .

Hi Aaron,
There is a schematic for the Crossly 33S on Nostalgia Ais Schematics Online. If you check it out you will see that the 45's are triodes and don't have screen grids. I think Norm's gotit right and you mean the driver transformer that's faulty but before ordering a replacement check that it's not the output transformer connected to the plates that you mean. Cheers, Don.
