I recently purchased a Radiola 18. It's missing the dial lamp and lamp base. Could someone tell me how the lamp base was held in place over the dial or where I can purchase the lamp base?

It's a standard threaded lamp base, attached to a little bracket that fastened to the ouside of the cabinet, just beneath the lamp shade. You'll probably have to jury-rig in order to fasten a replacement base.

Since your lamp holder is missing, you can replace it with either a threaded type or bayonet type. www.tubesandmore.com has the bayonet style with brackets that might work for you.
