I can't find a schematic for an RCA radio Model RC-1079D. It is in Sams 107-7. Can someone email me a copy if they have one? Thanks, John

Looks like this is the exact one that you are wanting , with the variant from the A and B being in the center area of the schema

where the function and tone switch wiring to its wafers is included, along with the phono- input capability on that model.

You seem to have access to unlimited schematics or a personal library unbounded by time, plus the knowledge to add them to your posts. Do you also have access to dwgs of later hardware, say the 90's or later? As an example, I'm trying to re-use 2 stepper motors and associated drivers and electronics from a late model Brother printer. As of this date, have been unsuccessful finding appropriate schematics on the web. Thanks

First of all, let me express my gratitude for your knowledge and very informative posts of the past. My question is a simple one. You seem to have access to unlimited schematics or a personal library unbounded by time, plus the knowledge to add them to your posts. Do you also have access to dwgs of later hardware, say the 90's or later? You didn’t give any info on the units that you have. . .or if any techno-info-bits are already marked on their housings, in addition to a possible
BROTHER part number.

Any chance that this pic / data provided at the bottom is duping any of your units . . .there’s the heavier BROTHER unit at the top and then the two “clock motor” sized units just below.

If you salvaged them from a complete unit, you should also have the Power driver IC units designed for use with them.


Initially, in the unit there was the u/p circuitry feeding dedicated info and timing of the input signals to those IC’s.

If you are now just wanting a custom stand alone use of a motors. . . . that would then need the feed in of a clock osc and steering signal , for selecting the direction of step rotation, whereas the clock frequency establishes the speed of rotation.

If no high torque demand is made they can even activate pole adjunct pairs for a half stepping mode.
The shown units are probably being capable up to ~750 PPS without the onset of mis-stepping.



And then. . . . . you can have your self either a micro-rotational control of:

Once again your post amazes me, but am fearful of raising the ire of this Forum in discussing non antique radio matters. I have (intact) the pc boards for the drivers and micro P. I have made several different ckt designs, but was hoping to use original parts in the interst of economics. Have been unable to come up with matches on p/n's or schems. of board ass'ys or IC's. I have enough data on both bipolar motors to use them. If your willing to share any addt'l info you might have, pls contact my personal email, and pls include this post, so I can replay it. Thanks for the input.
