I have the same unit that I am trying to restore also. I have been looking for a schematic but cant find one either.
Maybe a photo of the unit or some other sharing of info can help?

Trace out the wiring and draw up your own schematic. If both of you do this you'll have a cross check. Once you figure out how it's supposed to work you should be able to fix it.
