Radiola Radio 17 & 18

I have a sharp Radiola 18, cabinet, speaker, and power supply. Have been looking for a receiver. Can you tell me whether a 17 receiver will work in the 18?

Thanks. Wayne Warner, Springfield, MO

Physically, I don't know for sure the 17 will fit correctly in an 18 cabinet - but it must be pretty darn close. Surely, somebody here can help on that.

But, the power supplies for the 17 and 18 are a little different: e.g., different number of connectors to the receiver. Maybe you could haywire an 18 power supply to work with a 17 receiver?

::Wayne, the Radiola 17 chassis will fit in 18 cabinet perfectly, but I think you will need the power supply that goes with the 17 chassis. Also the back may have to be modified. If I remember right, the speaker terminals are located differently.
