These things have a million times more capacitance than conventional caps of the same size.
I'm trying to think up a useful project. An LED that might light for months or years? A micro welding machine? A "perpetual" grid bias C- supply? A super pulsed laser?
The voltage rating, 2.5-V, is pretty puny, though.

:I've been reading about these super-caps. Here's a 4.7-F cap, 0.5" dia x 1.26", for $3.85: http://www.allelectronics.com/index.php?page=search&search_query=cbc-18

Some mornings I feel like about 20 uFd. would be all I need for that, since I can't go back to zero time. {:>)}

What about a bias cell. I wonder how long one charge would last?
I am going to do some calcs and get back to you.

These caps are already being used in rechargeable devices. Those item you shake or wind to charge.

use one of these caps and discharge it across g bergs nutsack when he gets out of line
Children will be children, I gurss.
Dumb questions but I have to ask. Do you occasionally juice up the cap to recharge it and how do you wear the watch with an external cap hooked to it?
Since he said the watch was solar powered, I guess he was referring to his dislike of changing batteries.
Lewis
LOL EVEN I HAVE TO LAUGH AT THE THOUGH OF THAT...lol THANKS LEWIS
5.5 Volts doesn't sound too painful to me.
Lewis
I guess that depends on how many of these caps you wire in series before discharging them on the testicular region :)
