Indoor antenna

Most of you already know this little tip. But if you have a radio that is made for external antenna, you can make a good static and noise free antenna by using your phone land line wire. Wrap your phone line with another open end wire to make a loose coupling transformer. Use a clip lead to connect to your radio. If your radio has a built in loop antenna, connect the wire from this loose coupling to a old transistor radios ferrite antenna. Place it near the loop antenna of you radio. Works very well, and brings in those weak stations clear.
NEVER make a direct connection with the phone line!

I have always used a connection thru a ceramic cap to my phone terminals in the basement but never tried a wraparound. Have to try it.

There is around 90 volts AC when the phone is ringing. Doesnt the cap pass the AC to the radio when doing this?
