I have two tube testers, a Conair and a Heathkit TT1
and of course none of these tubes are listed. I was going to
guess the 201 was equivlent electrically to a 01A and the same for the 301.
Also was going to guess a 226 was equivelent electrically to a 26.
Can someone confirm this or point me in the right direction?
Many Thanks,
Wayne
UX201A, CX301A and 01A are the same tube. UX201A is the RCA Globe shape. CX301A is Cunningham Globe shape. Later the shape was changed and prefix dropped to 01A. Be sure your tubes have an "A" after the number. "A" indicates 5 volts @ .25 amp filament. Without "A" the filament draws 1 amp.
ER226 is not the same. ER226 is Eveready/Raytheon Globe shaped 26 and filament operates on 1.5 volts @ 1.05 amps. Like the 01A the prefix was dropped and shape changed in later tubes.

: I have an Atwater Kent Model 20. The tube compliment
: in the documentation I can come up with indicates
: UX201's in all 5 sockets. The radio has an ER 226
: in the first RF and a CX301 in the second stage.
