im getting ready to recap a radio. There is a cap ( ? ) that looks like a large resistor , black, with color bands ( yellow , violet , orange , grey ? and blue )

not sure how to figure the value ? or should I just replace the paper caps (filters are done ) and see how the radio performs ?

thanks,dave

--------
That would seem to be 47 and 3 zeros

.047mf

you can use a new .047uf either 400v or 630v cap
