Or, is this a very basic forum that does not allow for adding attachments or screenshots, enhancing the text, etc? Do you always have to visit the forum to see if there has been a reply to your post?
However, I have read some posts by Edd and see that he uses some very innovative techniques in his posting. So, I don't know if that is his own skill, or is that knowledge available for others.
Thanks,
Jerry

The forum input tools per se are very simple. No special utilities for creative posting using colors or images etc.
However it does not specifically block any HTML coding either. So if one is well versed in HTML coding you can embed images, use bold or initials add images etc.
It is not published anywhere that I know of.. but it is recommended that the HTML coding be used wisely and prudently to preserve the integrity of the forum.
This forum is fully HTML compliant. You can even mess-up things if you master HTML.
Do you always have to visit the forum to see if there has been a reply to your post?
Being very basic, you do have to visit and make the best to find your previous post(s) and any replies accociated. The threads are showing top to bottom according to the last reply's date. Also as there is no registration necessary to post, you'll find some regulars of other websites (including this one) venting anonymously here from time to time. There is also rec.antiques.radio+phono newsgroup which offers highly skilled and knowledgeable posters. You may want to visit that newsgroup too.
BTW, you can't upload a picture here. You need your own files repository and link to it. flickr is one you can use. If you are familiar with HTML, a well placed "/td" in your reply will make your post go outside the box! Some cool stuff to do.

I did a search for rec.antiques.radio+phono. What I found was a FAQ section and some other archival topics. Is there a link to that site that will allow an interchange of questions and answers?

Hi Jerry,
R.A.R.P is best accessed using a usenet reader or thru Google groups: http://groups.google.ca/group/rec.antiques.radio+phono/topics?lnk=srg&hl=fr&ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8
Outlook express or Thunderbird can be used under Windows. I'm running Ubuntu (Linux) and am using Thunderbird as a reader and news.motzarella.org as a usenet server.
Hope this helps.
Syl
Thanks for the reply. It appears the R.A.R.P site is a collection of old topics. As I see it, this site seems to be the only one I can find that will interact with queries.
Jerry
Old Topics? R.A.R.P. is more active than this place will ever be (not that this place isn't right). Are you sure you used the whole link I provided? Here it is again, shortened for ease of use.:
http://groups.google.ca/group/rec.antiques.radio+phono/topics
Just cut and paste the link in your browser.

I knew the minute I sent my reply the wording of “old topics” would be misunderstood. What I meant was the listed topics had been posted and I was looking for a site to pose new questions. What I did not do was to subscribe to one of groups, which I think would allow me to post new questions. At first I thought by replying to a particular post, it only allowed me to answer that particular post. So, now I can understand your suggestion.
Thanks,
Jerry
