input transformer

Hi: My work continues on a Clarion 60 I picked up at auction. I've replaced the caps and output transformer. It is actually hissing at me through the speaker so there may be life yet. I checked continuity on what the schematic refers to as the input trans. It was open. What could I use as a replacement? The set has a push pull audio circuit so it would need to be compatible. Thanks again for the lifeline. Al

Thanks Warren for the link. I'll get one ordered. Another question if you don't object - it appears on the schematic for the Clarion 60 that the center tap goes to ground. This is different from other push pull interstage hookups that I've seen such as the Atwater Kent 55 that I recently did. Does that sound correct? I would hate to ruin anything and I'm not the best at reading schematics yet. Thanks again for all your help. Al

The print is showing the center tap going to ground. It is also showing what looks like a shorting strap around the core also going to ground.

The core ground represents a shield between the primary and secondary windings. Ground it like the center tap.

Just a note of thanks to the forum team for all the help on the Clarion 60. After replacing the filter caps and the input/output transformers with expert advice it is now playing like a charm. Thanks Thomas, Warren and Lewis for all your help. Al
