The core ground represents a shield between the primary and secondary windings. Ground it like the center tap.

:Thanks Warren for the link. I'll get one ordered. Another question if you don't object - it appears on the schematic for the Clarion 60 that the center tap goes to ground. This is different from other push pull interstage hookups that I've seen such as the Atwater Kent 55 that I recently did. Does that sound correct? I would hate to ruin anything and I'm not the best at reading schematics yet. Thanks again for all your help. Al
