CABINET REPAIR...Urea..bakelite

Hi all...What I am about to mention I don't think is new..but just thought I would give my 2 cents worth...I recently had the problem of a nice white urea cabinet (Silvertone model 4505) that had a chunk missing in front.Someone had cut a piece out so they could easily remove the chassis. ARRRRG!!!. I thought I could just cut a piece out from on the inside and glue in to fill hole....Well....using my dremmel tool I ended up with allot of "powder". I took the powder and mixed with epoxy and got a really nice colored glue that matched the cabinet. I glued section in and sanded..sanded..sanded..buffed and buffed...and although not completely hidden...IT WORKED!!

I wish that everyone would get over the whole bragging photo thing. This is really getting to be an old and annoying issue. How old is everyone on here? I'm sure that physically I'm younger than almost all of you, but yet you're always acting like 12 year olds.

Let's post some photos and see some pictures. What is the harm????????? Everyone can see eachother's work instead of just imagining what it looks like. Make some friends. See some cool stuff! GET OVER IT!

I seriously doubt it.... Hmmmm..... come to think of it..... I once thought "T" _WAS_ "G.Berg" with a bit higher IQ. Both have been prone to sophomoric tantrums in the past - but "T" seems to have mellowed just a bit since his last sabbatical (lol).

This board as of late reminds me of a "B" movie that came out in the 70's when I was in my early teens about an uncensored television station that ultimately resulted in the president of the USA launching "the big one" to end it. I don't remember if it was The Groove Tube or Tunnelvision, but it's this same uncensored and unmoderated behavoir that I fear is going to ultimately end with Mr. Lancaster pulling the plug on this site. That would be a shame.

I am afraid you are very, very right. I also like to watch trains, I take my scanner to the rail yard and watch and listen to the crews make up trains. I was a member of a railfan site, and all was great until ONE member started disagreeing with everything that was said. So after a couple of warnings, the host shut down the site because of that ONE member.
It was a very sad loss.
