Hello everyone:
I am writing this query from Spain.
I have a radio Synchrophase Grebe MU-1
The CX-112A valve detection provides a continuous motion when it moves to the radio (as if the socket vibrase much) is that correct?

I am using all '01A tubes in my MU-1, no 112A tubes. But I have not experienced what you are describing.

I am wondering if you are talking about a suspended socket and vibration and feedback from the speaker? My Radiola 16 has the detector socket on springs. If the detector tube (valve) is vibrated too much, it will cause noise in the speaker, and if the speaker vibrations transfer through the detector, feedback will occur.

There were several variations of the MU-1, but in mine the tube sockets are rigidly mounted to the chassis.

Doug,
I believe thats what happened on my Edison 7R power transformer short, which was on the same chassis as the speaker. Weight of the transformer in the upright position allowed 2 wires (HV and rect 5V) to touch, and over the years the insulation wore off from speaker/chassis vibration. I found 2 shiny copper wires when I opened it. It was mystifying. In the upside down position, it didn't short, and I couldn't figure out why an extra 5V filament xformer had been added with xtra holes butchered in the chassis.
