Zenith Chassis Cabinet 'Washers"
1/25/2009 11:12:04 AMBob E.
Does anyone know of a source for the 1 1/2 inch diameter
"spongy" washers used in these cabinets? I am looking
for one for a 6S222.
Or what the thickness of these original washers were?

:Hi Bob, You can try "renovatedradios.com". They have a selection of repro parts like that but I don't know if they have that one. I just finished a 6S223 and mine were about 3/8" thick by 1-1/4" in diameter. I just substituted them with rubber washers that I found at my local Ace hardware. Worked fine. Johnny.

Radio Daze also carries the washers. I have used them on two Zenith consoles. http://www.radiodaze.com/

I think I have even ordered them from RD before...
Don't know how I forgot about them carrying washers
like that. I suppose it would be the 3/8 in thick
ones (Part # CW187) for the Zenith 6S222....
Thanks Robert.
