Looking for a source for smaller value variable capacitors, for those SW crystal set plans so common in books.

Hi Brian,If you are looking for parts to build one set or to experiment with,I have three really nice antique tuning caps and honeycomb(I think that's what they are called) coils that I would part with.I have held on to these parts for years thinking I was going to make a crystal set,but I know I never will.The caps are rather large,two have a big bakelite knob, and are 300 pf.each.There is a coil for each of them.If you are interested,post your e-mail and I will send you a photo.

....Also, Antique Electronic Supply, Radio Daze, Play Things of the Past, and also eBay, have nice assortments of variable caps. Of course eBay is going to be hit-and-miss, but there's always something interesting to be found. Try Mike's offer first, though.

OOPS! I just noticed the "SW" in your posting,you probably wouldn't be too interested in my parts.I believe these were for the broadcast band.Oh well,I tried!
