Just finished the electrical on a Philco 37-62. Anyone have a suggestion as to how to clean the photo finish? It is still in good shape, just very grimy after 72 years. Thanks, Jon.

photo inish usually has at least one coat of laquer over it, so i would try a small hidden spot with just soap and a little water first. but use as little water as possible.

Jon if it's dirty from years of cigarette smoke and grim. Murphys oil soap in a warm water mix will take that off. Seems the water soluble oil works good for lifting tar and nicotine.
